Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty
A minimally invasive, out-patient procedure used to treat painful compression fractures of the spine. Severe, sudden back pain caused by a spinal fracture can make standing, walking, or even resting unbearable. When osteoporosis, trauma, or spinal tumors cause a vertebra to collapse—a condition known as a vertebral compression fracture (VCF)

Kyphoplasty offers a proven procedure to relieve pain, stabilize the bone, and restore lost height. It involves accessing the compressed vertebral fracture(s) using live x-ray guidance.
A miniature balloon is guided into the compressed vertebral body and gently inflated. This lifts the collapsed bone, restoring some height and creating a small cavity. The balloon is then removed, leaving a cavity that is filled with a fast-setting, medical-grade bone cement. The cement hardens in minutes, stabilizing the fracture.
Key benefits of kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty:
-Immediate pain relief
-Restores height and alignment
-Minimally invasive
-Fast outpatient recovery
