SI Joint Fusion

The sacroiliac (SI) joints connect the lower spine to the pelvis. When these joints become inflamed or hypermobile from injury, arthritis, or wear and tear, they can cause significant pain in the lower back, hip, buttock, or thigh.

When conservative treatments such as physical therapy, medications, or joint injections no longer provide adequate relief, minimally invasive SI joint fusion offers a proven, long-term solution.

SI joint fusion is an outpatient procedure designed to stabilize the sacroiliac joint. Using advanced, image-guided technology, a surgeon places small titanium implants across the joint or two cylindrical bone allograft implants into the SI joint. These implants hold the joint firmly in place, stopping the painful friction and micro-motion while allowing natural bone growth to fuse the joint over time.

Key benefits of SI joint fusion:

-Targeted pain relief

-Minimally invasive

-Quick recovery

-Restored mobility
